Cocobay Resort Partnership
At the end of February, my wife and I traveled to Antigua in the Caribbean and got to spend a week there at Cocobay Resort. I can’t say enough amazing things about the resort (all inclusive, adults only, incredible staff, private rooms, beautiful views, need I say more!?)
This was actually our third time to Antigua and to Cocobay and every time we’ve been there previously, I of course always bring my camera equipment and film. But this time, we reached out to the hotel staff and talked about filming for them in a more official capacity.
After some discussion, they agreed to have me do some video promo work for them while we were there and we agreed to a service trade. I ended up filming around 1.3 terabytes of video while there with my new(ish) Sony A7siii (which is amaaaaazing by the way) and getting some really awesome footage.
I worked with the bartender Altino there quite a bit and he made some special cocktails for me on camera (which of course were delicious). These shots in particular were a good test of my camera’s slow motion capabilities. Filming in 4k at 120 frames per second was awesome and I did a couple shots in 1080p at 240 frames per second, which is crazy slow for a camera that isn’t a designated high frame rate camera.
It was so much fun getting to do some videography for the resort and was a change of pace for me on the type of videos I film. Definitely be on the lookout for all these videos that I’m still editing (and will be for quite awhile) and I highly recommend checking out Cocobay Resort for your vacation.
