Louis & Julia’s Wedding

My last wedding of 2020.  2020 was definitely a tough year for the wedding industry.  Many brides and grooms postponed weddings, but those that continued with their plans were stuck with restrictions on size and scope.  The weddings that I was fortunate enough to still film this year got creative with how they approached it, and Louis and Julia’s wedding was no exception.

Their wedding, like most this year, was small and intimate, but beautiful and full of happiness and emotion.  Louis’s parents were unable to attend and so we at LumiLux Productions ran a live stream of their ceremony with 2 cameras being used to film.  This allowed not only his parents to be able to be a part of the wedding as it unfolded, but any other family and friends who were unable to make it due to either logistical issues or due to restrictions in size of the allowed guest list.  

The beginning of this video is a prayer over Louis and Julia written by Louis’s parents, which is why I knew I needed to include it.  You’ll also notice that during this section are a couple of clips of Louis and Julia face-timing with them.  Even with their absence, they still had a prominent role in the proceedings and I wanted to make sure that this was carried into the video.

The venue was Belle Chapel in Snohomish, a cute little chapel in the heart of the downtown area.  As you can see, it provides beautiful scenery and lends itself well to video.  From start to finish, the wedding was full of joy despite the circumstances and Louis and Julia’s ceremony was so heartfelt, touching and genuine.  Their love for each other and their friends and family can easily be seen in the footage and was a testament to their beautiful hearts and perseverance through the difficulties 2020 has thrown at couples trying to get married.
